Founded in 1899, Southern Nazarene University is a private, Christian, liberal arts college with a strong sense of service of the Church of the Nazarene.
Within the Wesleyan-holiness tradition, Southern Nazarene University is dedicated to transforming lives through higher education in a Christ-centered community. As a Christian community of scholars, faculty and administrators model to students a hospitality of grace, pursuit of truth and the practice of discipleship.
Southern Nazarene University came into reality when several small private colleges which were committed to teaching individuals the value of service to God and the joy of following God to reach our destiny. More than 32,000 alumni serve throughout the United States in spiritual leadership roles within their communities. The college does welcome international students from any country provided they meet all qualifications including English speaking skills and tuition qualifiers.
Affiliated with the college, a school for young children called the Southern Nazarene University's School for Children is for three year olds through 6th grade. The school teaches children based on the same principles as that of the college.
